An opportunity to apply your hard-earned case-working experience to the scholarship on access to justice.
The Law Students’ Access to Justice Society (LSA2J), a forthcoming society backed by the Student Executives who run the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program (LSLAP) and by Allard Law professors, is seeking submissions for The Access Review, a new biannual journal publishing student research, reflections, and observations drawn from front-line clinic work, with faculty supervision where a project calls for it.
For decades, LSLAP and other student clinical programs have advanced access to justice one case at a time. The Access Review invites clinicians to reflect on what they have seen navigating the legal system alongside their clients, and turns that ground-level experience into something the wider legal community can learn from.
Founded with clinic work in mind, The Access Review welcomes any law student with an access-to-justice issue to explore. Proposals can come in the form of:
Proposals are reviewed on a rolling basis. Accepted proposals may be supervised by a law professor from our advisory committee, where applicable. For quantitative research, we’ll provide you with the support needed to pursue this work.
